The 2014 Pinot Noir Sun Chase displays pomegranate as well as blacker fruits, some forest floor and loamy soil undertones, a medium-bodied, lush texture, and good purity and depth. This is outstanding Pinot Noir to drink over the next 5-6 years.

'The 2014 Chardonnay from the famous terroir/vineyard of Ritchie offers plenty of caramelized citrus, honeysuckle, a touch of orange blossom and apple pie. It is ripe, medium-bodied, light to medium gold in color, and best drunk over the next 3-4 years.'

'Combines a plush texture with structure and complexity, offering aromas of red currant and tomato leaf and layered flavors of cherry, spiced cinnamon and herb. Drink now through 2022. 96 cases made.'

'The 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon is plush, forward and inviting. This is a surprisingly soft, opulent wine for the year and appellation, yet all the elements are fused together effortlessly. Sweet red and purple stone fruits, spices, wild flowers, mint and lavender build to the juicy, exuberant finish. There is plenty to like here.'

'A winner is the 2012 Syrah from Bennett Valley, which I assume comes from their steep, rocky vineyards. The color is an impressively saturated ruby/purple and the wine possesses meaty, blackberry fruit notes intermixed with notions of tapenade, licorice and smoke. Full-bodied, layered, rich and very Northern Rhône-like, this full-bodied beauty should drink well for 7-8 years.'
